Cookie policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Slawly only uses technical cookies that the platform needs to work. We use no analytics or advertising cookies, so we don't need your consent (art. 22.2 LSSI-CE).
Cookies we use
Authentication and security (better-auth cookies; in production they carry the __Secure- prefix): session_token keeps you signed in, expires after 7 days of inactivity and is renewed while you use the platform; session_data keeps a temporary copy of the session for 5 minutes; dont_remember is used if you don't tick “remember me”; two_factor only exists during a two-factor sign-in; and there are short-lived cookies for passkeys and for signing in with Google, Facebook, Apple or LinkedIn.
Language (NEXT_LOCALE): stores the language you browse in.
Sidebar (sidebar_state): remembers whether your workspace menu is open or collapsed.
Home page (audience): remembers whether you chose “I need a lawyer” or “I'm a lawyer”, to show you that version when you come back.
Your light or dark theme is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
Analytics on the public pages (Umami) use no cookies and store no data that identifies you.
How to manage them
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block session cookies you won't be able to sign in.
If we ever add cookies that aren't technical, we'll ask for your consent before using them and update this policy.
